News Flash!

Our weekly small group meeting was interrupted this week by a qualifying game between Argentina and Uruguay for the 2010 World Cup hosted in South Africa. Apparently soccer games fall fairly often on Wednesday nights, because this wasn't the first time we've watched a game instead of doing our usual Bible study. Anyway Argentina won 1-0 in the final minutes thereby earning a spot to play in the tournament. I've heard that time practically stops when this futbol event takes place because everyone is watching. It should be interesting. I'm starting to become a fan. The USA team also qualified. It's only 238 days away (June) and counting. This week also marks 4 months since I've been in this beautiful country. Hard to believe!
