Closer

I'm a step closer to this adventure. I tell myself, "every day I'm getting closer to my departure." There's still much to be done and a lot that is uncertain, but one thing is clear now more than ever: this is what I'm supposed to do. I don't need to know the how or when yet. (Granted, I want to know and so does everyone considering all the questions I've gotten.) But it's enough to be completely confident in that.
Last night, my parents and I went out and purchased luggage for me. I have 3 matching suitcases of different sizes to myself. (The biggest one could probably fit a small person inside and the smallest one is carry-on sized.) I guess it's about time this little globe-trotter got some of her own. It's a great gift--I plan on thoroughly making use of them! They are blue (of course), full of pockets, and probably best of all--lightweight. It makes me excited, but I'm also wondering how I will fit my life into them and transport it to another continent. It's good to reconsider the value of possessions though. Especially now, when the holidays are grossly over-commercialized. What is essential?

Thank you so much for the almond syrup. I've enjoyed two of the best cups of coffee EVER so far. Thanks too for all your help on moving day. We really appreciate you and totally believe in what you are doing! We will continue to pray for the last of your support to come in quickly and for God to give your the wisdom to pack those suitcases with just the right things! Love you!
