Anal problems

Why do people let it get so bad? I understand it can be uncomfortable and embarrassing, but what point do you let it get to before you are willing to seek help? I know we all hope that it will get better on it's own. But eventually you have to realize - it's not working and you need more assistance to get the job done.
Today we saw several people with anal issues. One guy spent more time discussing his family concerns and stress than his actual health complaint.  It's tough.
How often are our health problems related to our stress and other problems? Evidence suggests a powerful connection between our mental well-being and our physical health. Humans are complex characters - physical, emotional, spiritual beings that live in community.  Healing is not something you receive from doctors hands. Miraculously, we have bodies capable of healing themselves. As health care providers we try to facilitate the body's own healing potential through recommendations and interventions. Sometimes we do more harm than good. Sometimes we need more to heal than time and medicine. We need inner healing - forgiveness to remove the bitterness that springs from deep wounds and sucks souls dry. Life is complex.
There's so much we don't understand about health and its contributing factors - nutrition, genetics, environment, behaviors, psychology, education, just to name a few main ones.
